22nd Century Human Museum | Environmental Revival Device

The main theme of this project is to "connect" timeless history with the present, this century with the next, by approaching "environmental conservation and improvement" and "dynamic preservation of the historical environment" from an architectural perspective.

The Giza Pyramid Complex is set as a context for speaking out about the possibilities and limits of human endeavors, and the "Museum of Man" is envisioned as a device for transcending this century.

If we were to compress the time from the birth of the Earth to the present into the time axis of one day, the birth of mankind would only correspond to the last minute. Moreover, the last 100 years, or the 21st century, is only 1/500 of a second. On the Earth's time axis, it is nothing more than a blink of an eye.

Humans are one of 30 million species of living things on Earth. However, it is reported that one species is the cause of the extinction of 50,000 species of plants and animals each year, and that 7 million hectares of tropical forests are becoming desert.

In the blink of an eye, humanity has created many tragedies and is leaving many global problems for the next century.

When it comes to environmental issues, it is not enough to simply "not build" or "not develop."

A state of "peace," including the "good environment" that many people desperately desire, is often thought of as tranquil and static, but the path to "peace" is the dynamic process of seeking and acting on it.

Scene 3 History: Dialogue with Humans

The interactive booths, arranged in rows, allow direct access to the people who made history, enabling virtual conversations that sound as close to real voices as possible. This is the core of the interaction.

The 12 monitors at the top of the booth simultaneously display the people accessing the booth, and a holographic image appears at the entrance to the booth. In order to read the multi-layered history of time and space, it is effective to focus on the "people" who created history.
